Mission Presidents Seminar

Today is the end of the five-day Mission Presidents Seminar held at the MTC in Provo, Utah.  We have been here and enjoyed every minute of it.  There are classes on doctrine, missionary practices, and administrative and safety matters.  We have heard from MTC training staff, Missionary Department members, Seventies, and every member of the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.  It was inspiring to say the least, although the responsibility is somewhat intimidating.  We are, however, excited to travel to Everett, Washington (the best mission in the world--at least for us) and begin our service on Monday, July 1.  We will also have to start shedding some pounds, since the MTC catering folks tried to fatten us up pretty successfully about seven times a day.  We can't wait to meet our missionaries!

Kelly and Mark Bonham

May 1, 2013:  Today marks the creation of an unofficial blog that is intended to keep family, friends, business associates, missionary parents, and curious onlookers aware of events related to the Washington Everett Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during the time that Mark and Kelly Bonham are presiding in that mission.  We (the Bonhams) will not be presiding there until about July 1, 2013, but some of our preparation may be of interest.  D. Keith and Ada Sue Wilson are currently presiding in that mission (and doing a great service there).  This blog is not an official statement or site of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, may not be kept up to date, and may even disappear in the future.  But for today, I'm (Mark) beginning my sabbatical from work at SageCreek Partners and switching to full time missionary preparation.  We are looking forward to this great adventure and opportunity to serve the Lord and His children.
